Oskar Blues sends relief to Columbia, South Carolina
Earlier this month, South Carolina was hit by a major rainstorm, bringing catastrophic flooding to the region. One of those hardest hit was Columbia, the second largest city in the state. With damage estimates circling the $1 Billion mark, a lack of running of water, and residents struggling to regroup, craft beer brewery Oskar Blues catalyzed a relief effort. With the help of the Ball Canning corporation, over 38,000 cans of drinking water have been produced and delivered to those in need. The effort, part of Oskar Blues' charitable "CAN'd Aid Foundation", continues to package and deliver drinking water to the area still reeling from the historic natural disaster. They credit the humanitarian donation to the quick-thinking of their employees, who recognized the need and worked extra early on October 9th to finish the shipment.
